Marina began volunteering with Time Out Group 2010 and became a Trustee in 2015.

She currently holds the position of Chair.

Marina is passionate about Time Out Group and loves to see how the members grow from strength to strength.

Marina is a Bioanalytical Principal Scientist at a Contract Research Organisation. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, skydiving and spending time with her dog, Alaia.

Joy joined Time Out Group in 2016 as a Trustee. Joy brings a wealth of skills and experience with her. In 2021 Joy, put her organisation Special People North, into the hands of new owners, and so shortly thereafter Joy was able to take on the role of treasurer for TOG.

In her spare time Joy enjoys keep-fit, walking, gardening and photography. 

Sue is our founding member. In 2001 Sue set up the group, when she was an Occupational Therapist.

Sue’s aim for the members has always been to give everyone a chance to take part in and learn ordinary social and leisure activities in a safe and relaxed way.

Sue loves art and craft, gardening and walking.

Rob joined Time Out Group as a Trustee in 2014 and has been a board member and Treasurer.

Rob enjoys seeing the members develop into confident members of the community, facilitated by an effectively run Charity. Outside of Time Out Group Rob is an airline pilot and instructor based at Manchester. He also enjoys aerobatics and sailing.

Jon joined Time Out Group as a Trustee in 2017. As a qualified social worker, with almost 25 years experience working with people with learning disabilities, Jon is an asset to the charity.

After seeing the benefits that the work of Time Out Group brought individuals for a number of years, Jon was pleased to take the opportunity to become involved directly as a Trustee.

Jon is a keen cricketer, and junior team coach.

Liz joined Time Out Group as a trustee in 2024.

Liz has worked in social housing and for a government regulator for 15 years and has wealth of experience in corporate governance, risk management and internal control frameworks. She has served on the board of her local primary school for 6 years where until recently she was Chair of Governors. Liz also founded and was Chair of the Women’s Network at her organisation for 3 years.

Liz has seen first hand the amazing effect that the Time Out group has on its community through her brother who attends our sessions on a weekly basis. She is excited and proud to be part of the future of the charity.

Huzaifa joined Time Out Group as a trustee in 2024.

He is a qualified solicitor working in a national law firm, based  in Manchester.

Huzaifa brings to the board his legal expertise and experience, but also a personal perspective with close family members with learning difficulties and autism.

Huzaifa hopes to further the charity’s goals to work to create a safe, enjoyable, and open environment for members to join in and be themselves.

In his spare time, Huzaifa enjoys hiking, football (and pretty much all sport), and spending time with his family.

Ashley joined Time Out Group as a Trustee in 2024.

With a background in health and social care leadership, Ashley has worked for a number of organisations that provide services for people with a learning disability and/or autism.  Ashley is passionate about people having access to social engagement opportunities and being able to learn new skills, TOG does a fantastic job of achieving this and offers great opportunities for members.  It is an exciting time for TOG as it continues to provide great local opportunities as well as working hard to extend the offer into other locations and connecting with more people.

In his spare time Ashley loves all things fitness but particularly enjoys trail running

Gill joined Time Out Group as a Trustee in 2024.

Gill has worked at senior levels within Health and Social Care for almost 20 years and is passionate about supporting people in her local community.

Outside of Time Out Group Gill enjoys painting and spending time with family and friends
